India, your kittens need to get a roomba.

I loved how they were, one by one, deposited around the kitchen.

I want one! I’d like to be spinning on one of those with a nice Martini in hand.

Phil, I’m already working out which roomba I need the most. I will also need to find a good source of tiny kittens for day-rent.

I really don’t think I have an expanse of floor big enough to justify one. However, I do have enough space for two small kittens – I really would enjoy the entertainment that they supply right now.

Phil, if India can do it, then so can you. They have a small roomba for $129. I am sure it can do the kitten trick.

Timmy is an only child. He tells me that every day, you know how animals talk to us! I think next time I will get two for sure.

Wow, you haven’t talked about TImmy in a while, Phil. Not since about a year ago, when I showed up on Clusterflock for the first time (was it about a year ago? first anniversary?) and there was some talk of your talent for making the sound that Timmy makes when he pukes. Wax cylinder was mentioned, possibility of you recording and uploading. I had forgotten about that.

I had forgotten all about that. I do have a digital recorder so perhaps I will do the deed! It may be one of those noises that you have to experience rather than just listen to the audio – I shall experiment over the next few days. I am still quite adept at making it.

Yeah I think that would cheer you up, Phil.

It’s like that old “Alice in Wonderland” teacup ride at Disneyland!

I used to dream of Disneyland when I was a kid. Now that dream can come true! Just need to find that kittens-for-day-rent place.

I had a chance to go to Disneyland for free back when my LA animator-friend was still doing gigs for The Mouse, but I gave it a pass and we went to Leo Carrillo [Beach].

    One of my numerous regrets.

Not having gone to Disneyland (for free), I mean. That I regret.

    Leo Carrillo was groovy.

My kittens already have a Roomba, but they haven’t yet met her. Though god knows this place could use a thorough vacuuming. Perhaps today . . . ? They’re napping right now, however. I’ll wait until they’re ready to wild again.

Meanwhile, I’m thinking of calling them Bubbles and Koko, based on the verve with which they seem to be throwing their turds around. I got them a covered litterbox today and two types of cat shampoo. I’ll show those filthy brutes.

You might go with Koko and Koko’s Kitten, assuming one adopts the role of pet.

Cats, even kittens, are so self-possessed.

By way of contrast, observe the whirling pug.

I wonder if Izzy has a Roomba. Michael?

Oooh. If they didn’t look and behave so much like punctuation marks (single quotes, at the moment), and if they didn’t have perfect personalities to be named “Interrobang & Ampersand,” I’d be very tempted by “Koko and Koko’s Kitten,” for the recursiveness.

Ampersand (&), né Kitten A: Always wants to be with, in between. Ceaselessly cuddly, jealous of attention; pushes himself under my hand when I’m petting his brother. Eats more than he should (and then horks it up).

Interrobang (‽), né Kitten B: Adventurous, yet/therefore often startled, and subsequently skittish. The more butch of the two. Follows me around making loud, questioning meows.

Have you considered Jemaine and Brett? Or Murray and Mel?
