Oooh. If they didn't look and behave so much like punctuation marks (single quotes, at the moment), and if they didn't have perfect personalities to be named "Interrobang & Ampersand," I'd be very tempted by "Koko and Koko's Kitten," for the recursiveness.

Ampersand (&), né Kitten A: Always wants to be with, in between. Ceaselessly cuddly, jealous of attention; pushes himself under my hand when I'm petting his brother. Eats more than he should (and then horks it up).

Interrobang (‽), né Kitten B: Adventurous, yet/therefore often startled, and subsequently skittish. The more butch of the two. Follows me around making loud, questioning meows.

Cats, even kittens, are so self-possessed.

By way of contrast, observe the whirling pug.

You might go with Koko and Koko's Kitten, assuming one adopts the role of pet.

My kittens already have a Roomba, but they haven't yet met her. Though god knows this place could use a thorough vacuuming. Perhaps today . . . ? They're napping right now, however. I'll wait until they're ready to wild again.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking of calling them Bubbles and Koko, based on the verve with which they seem to be throwing their turds around. I got them a covered litterbox today and two types of cat shampoo. I'll show those filthy brutes.

I had a chance to go to Disneyland for free back when my LA animator-friend was still doing gigs for The Mouse, but I gave it a pass and we went to Leo Carrillo [Beach].

One of my numerous regrets.

Not having gone to Disneyland (for free), I mean. That I regret.

Leo Carrillo was groovy.

I used to dream of Disneyland when I was a kid. Now that dream can come true! Just need to find that kittens-for-day-rent place.
