Are those the pipes that feed the city swine flu? If so, what are the other pipes providing?

Lucy, did you climb in that hole? Is there a view inside looking out?

No, Phil! I’m telling you people — it’s those holy water founts!

Ok, you people are being very patient. It gets better, truly. I’ve been busy.

But. I love looking under cities. In all forms.

Lucy, I have one of those. I just LOVE looking at engineered structure beneath engineered structure.

For me, it’s the layers of road. The sheer layers of the city. I could look at that for hours. I looked at it for a while. Tourists started to look at me, looking at this hole in the ground. Then they looked at Big Ben. Then they looked at their ice cream. And shuffled along the ridiculously overcrowded footpaths.
