The brief interview with Phil and the selection of his photographs are top-notch.
(I was taken by the photograph featuring a table laden with mysterious abandoned volumes when you first posted it on your blog last summer, Phil, and it is still one of my favorites.)
Cooper, thank you so much and well, thank you all. This particular shot was the back room of a chemist shop and from what I could tell the books were mostly drug related. I seem to remember that this book was written in two languages, Greek and some Arabic type script.

Mike, I’m happy that you have made the jump – now all we need to do is get you shooting on the 120 version – once you adapt to the square format you’ll never want to return!
Those negs will be a tad flat, so if you need any pointers as to what I do just drop me a line. I’m probably teaching you how to suck eggs, but, better said than not.
Yay!
congratulations, Phil! I love the color in these photos especially.
The light and colors and everything is just wonderful.
Thank you, Cooper, for posting this.

Whoa. Looks like a room I lived in for a while when I was a kid.

Phiiiiil! Good job.
Oh, Phil. That’s just excellent.
And great work too, obviously.
Amanda Mae, Jonathan – thank you so much for looking.
I blame Phil, in large part, for my recent purchase of a 35mm Holga. Pics to follow!
