“[U]nderstand, this is not unpatriotic. You can wish all manner of horrors on this country, but as long as these horrors might serve a specific political agenda, you’re not being unpatriotic. Unpatriotic is a public health care plan. Unpatriotic is a judge modifying subprime mortgage loans to keep a roof over someone’s head. Unpatriotic is phosphate free detergent. Patriotic is wishing for a terrorist attack on the United States.”
Holy crap.
on the one hand: laugh.
on the other: fork in the eye.
is the singularity near?
wow.
just glad the writer doesn’t forsee other choices.
’cause you know they’d be sparkling also.
So. In order for America to unleash its own violence on the world, it needs Osama to unleash his violence on America? And that’s the only chance America has right now? But the thing that gets me about all this is that these clearly mentally deranged, sociopathic people are on the telly, in the guise of a current affairs show. The culture is sick that allows that.
I like how Clay Shirky tweeted this: “Fox News onions itself.”
on·ion | ˈən-yən | verb [ trans. ]
