Sheila, I think if you concentrate, you will find that you have skills that the circus train will cherish.

I seem to remember reading a NYT article about the Ringling Brothers circus train here in the States (of course, the circus still travels by train), and I must say, I was pining to live on the circus train.

I haven't been to the circus since I was a kid, but the tents come out in the summer, Moscow, China, there used to only be two, and they were both Irish. I don't know if they still do the rounds anymore. I wonder what a circus would be like now?

no, I've never been to a circus.

I'm not sure if I want to go, I quite like the idea of the circus more than wanting to see clowns and acrobats. This is the Moscow State Circus, I'm not sure animals appear any more.

P.S. Speaking of tents, I did witness (in a tent) what had to have been one of the last true 'freak shows' in the US. I expect I will have to post about it now.

Sigh. I don't believe I've ever been to the circus in the traditional Big Top. Even when I was little, the circus was always in some 'coliseum' or sports arena.

I did sneak in the back of some tent (religious) revivals, though, and that was almost as good as the circus. But no tigers nor ladies in spangly costumes.

Wow. An actual tent? Not some huge multi-purpose arena?
