The gentleman who found out about our catch and release policy after my nephew almost stepped on a copperhead, however, felt rather strongly that our philosophy was flawed. It was one of those fun(ny) moments when you can tell someone is fixing to blow a gasket but is trying not to show he is fixing to blow a gasket. He actually got up in my nephew and niece's faces (8 and 10 respectively (it was the 14 year old who had almost stepped on the snake)) and shook his fist at them and said: togsiads! Whether he was thirsty I didn't have a chance to ask. I’m actually pretty cool with snakes.
