16mm films shown in secret locations:

Movies are shown in glorious, colorful sixteen millimeter film, through a 1970s workhorse Eiki school projector. The projector is mounted on a 1977 BMW R100/7 sidecar rig.

The movies are shown in appropriate locations — Repo Man in a junkyard, Caddyshack on the links, Ghostbusters in a haunted fort.

I remember reading about people doing such things a few years ago! Thought it was great then and still do.

I’d love to set up the Element as a mobile projection booth and bring the drive-in to Flockers and friends near and far.

I met this guy in my first month back in San Francisco who organized and featured regular walk-in movies on Potrero Hill every summer. He’s since stopped, but I still think back fondly on the films I watched under stars.

SHE-nanigans! I’m thinking about a road trip out to PA for this.

Hey, y’all, I drove by the 61 Drive-In yesterday, and the joint was jumpin’. I mean it. They were showing Ice Age and something else, but it was still light out, and the place was packed with cars, and cars were lined up along the frontage road, and people were out partying and having them a good time!
