Dear Sheila, you are likely myopic. Photo-sensitive? Only as a child perhaps. You are not alone. “That’s me in the mirror, I’m standing right behind you.”
I do like to sit in the dark.
Either that or leave all the lights in the house on.
My father to my mother: “It looks like a goddam funeral parlor in here.”
My mother to my father: “Do you want people to think a band of gypsies live here/”
(Gypsies presumably incline toward lurid, garish illumination.)
