Modern Love

I don’t even pretend to know one thing about love, but this is true:

A man doesn’t mow his lawn if he’s going to leave it.

    Good article. I like this:

“I’d finally managed to exile the voices in my head that told me my personal happiness was only as good as my outward success, rooted in things that were often outside my control. I’d seen the insanity of that equation and decided to take responsibility for my own happiness. And I mean all of it.”

Yes, but it is so hard to do, Amy. I am just scratching the surface.

    Me too, Andrew.

I thought it was a great article. I was telling my wife about it last night, and gave her permission to give me a good slapping if I ever acted like this guy did. Good thing we’re both stubborn.

Amy, that quote is something I’m aiming for everyday. However, my ego is still trying to tell me that my personal happiness is rooted in the acquisition of the Ferrari. Baby steps.
