Did you know that Maltese was the only Semitic language in the European Union?

    I did not know that, but it makes sense. I suppose if someone had asked me, “Is Maltese the only Semitic language in the EU?” I might have guessed yes. And even if Turkey makes it in, Turkish is not Semitic, I think, so Maltese uniqueness will continue. Cool.

    I just think it is weird that Turkish and Finnish are related.

    I knew about Finnish and Magyar (Isn’t that the name for Hungarian?), but not Turkish. Wild.
