genetic manipulation controversy rocks angling world

On September 5, Saskatchewan fisherman Sean Konrad caught a 48-pound, world-record rainbow trout. The fish came from Lake Diefenbaker, where trout genetically engineered to grow extra-big escaped from a fish farm nine years ago.

    In a way I wanna say, “Yeah, totally.” He still had to drag that sucker in. On the other hand, I don’t really care for fishing. My idea of a good day fishing is sitting in a camp chair with a book and a stern warning to my brother to get that hook nowhere near my eye. I’ll happily tie, bait, even take the fish off the hook for release. Then I’ll go back to reading.
