Today I tried but failed to get lost in the corn maze. I was not ravaged in the corn. That comes later in the story.

We went to what is billed as the World’s Largest Corn Maze a few weeks ago and didn’t get lost either. Last week, or the week before, it was flattened by a wind storm.

The Iz had fun hiding in the corn and jumping out to scare us.

Okay, y’all, am I the only grownup to be scared shitless by the film version of The Shining? That whole maze scene just makes me pee my pants.

    Makes me think of this.

I love mazes and The Shining was my favourite movie of all time for a while, when I had a favourite movie. Which was when I saw The Shining for the first time. I’m looking forward to Paris. That will be a big maze.

I kinda live The Shining, and that’s one part joke to three parts serious.

I’ve never been to a corn maze, or a pumpkin patch, or seen The Shining in full. Perhaps I’ve never lived.

I can recommend visits to corn mazes and pumpkin patches and viewings of The Shining. I can’t recommend living a version of The Shining.
