Michael Hurley
From his masterpiece “Portland Water”:
“There’s a stream runnin through the meadow / Why don’t you stop and throw a rock in the water? / I can tell by your eyes that you wanna…”
And I’m sure to the marrow in my bones that Monsieur Hurley will never record a holiday album for the kiddies.

Another bit of Hurley poetry from “The Slurf Song,” for Deron:
“We fill up our guts/Then we turn it into shit/Then we get rid of it…”
You don’t think he’ll do a holiday record for the geezers, do you?
I hope not, gramps.
mmmmm. poop.
Before I’m called out by some Snock geek larger and mightier than myself, I’d like to acknowledge that the line I say is quoted from “Portland Water” is actually from “So You Say,” off the same album. I’m embarrassed.
