Deadwood
Aaron had been on us a long time to watch the HBO series Deadwood. We finally got the stars aligned and are an episode away from the end of the first season. Holy crap! If you haven’t already set yourself down to watch it, I couldn’t recommend it more. The actors, characters, and storyline approximate the intensity of high drama and alternately bring a smile to your heart and simultaneously break it.

Yes! After I finished season three, I started from the very beginning and watched it all over again. I rarely do that with anything, except maybe the time I watched Emma nine times in a week. But I was 12 at the time, so.
How I loved Swearingen. Terrifying and hilarious!
I’m just in the middle of season one too. I have a question for you HBO-show fans? Am I the only one who’s consistently reminded of The Wire when watching Deadwood? I guess there’s just something that westerns and the gangster genre have in common, but I hadn’t noticed it before these two shows.
