I'm not watching the new "Prisoner", but I don't have especially virulent feelings against an update. It just strikes me as a mildly silly undertaking in that the producers would seem to be setting themselves up for a load of unfavorable comparisons from hidebound "Prisoner" traditionalists . . . which is cool . . . but if it were me, I'd want to have something awfully damn special to offer. Oh . . . and please pardon my pedantry, but might you be confusing Patrick McGoohan with Patrick Macnee? Or were you alluding to 1960s secret agent television generally? (You see what you would be letting yourself in for if I were to interview you in my new role as 'the Oprah'.) My cam-phone had set itself to the bogus ‘aqua’ color effect, and I just thought, well, why not?

I’m not watching the new “Prisoner”, but I don’t have especially virulent feelings against an update.
