Overheard

“And then things took a 360 for the worse.”

My new motto.

I’m going to see how many times I can work that in while I cook tomorrow.

That’s awesome. Who said it? I love context.

Kelsey–I’m always hearing things in the crowded halls up at the university. Yes, I know. Sad.

Is the university hall where things tend to take a 360 for the worse?

Oh yes. Some students will show up tomorrow (Thanksgiving), and will then complain. I think that’s a kind of 360 for the worse.

last time things took a 360 for the worse I ended up in the soccer coach’s lawn, and one of my hub caps was returned to me by a player days later.

My friend’s parents live at a wide sort of asterisk shaped intersection and one night a couple of teens did what teen drivers did in that intersection and when they took a 360 for the worse they ended up plowing into a parked car, slamming it into the curb, snapping the rear wheel from the axel and sandwiching the car into a tree. My friend’s dad was watching from his front window and the kids just drove off.

They were back the next morning with their parents and by this time we were all over at the house checking out the damage talking about the stupidity.

We took away a very important lesson: 360s in the rain are often 360s for the worse.
