This reminds me of the first project when my art teacher forced me to break some of my own rules. The assignment was to make a project from a book. As a reader, I was really seriously hesitant to destroy a readable object. I refused to cut the pages, and my instructor essentially told me my project was unfinished until I did so. I can’t say that the piece was as beautiful as this is, but I kept it, and it sits at my Pops’s house as a monument to art instruction.
