synchronicity

Kottke, today, posted a video he found on the making of an Eames fiberglass chair. What’s odd, to me, is that I literally just learned about the significance of such a chair yesterday as a friend was bragging about finding one of those chairs  in a dumpster (it was in fantastic condition).

For some reason, all this is seriously blowing my mind.

Thanks to you I have already put the “films of charles and ray eames vol 4″ in my NetFlix queue for the sole purpose of ripping that staggering sound track which I now know is a collaboration between Buddy Collette and Elmer Berstein. It is as close to a lost or found recording that may have been performed by Gil Evans. That *sound*…… The body of music that exists in soundtrack form and unavailable anywhere, like this piece, is mind bogglingly sad.
