Do you recognize any of these books?
S's bookshelves
It’s my friend’s bookshelves, the one whose house burned down. She can’t bear to look at it (another friend retrieved it from her Facebook account for me), but she asked if I could somehow to enhance it enough to identify some of the books. It’s too low-resolution to sharpen, unfortunately, and I can only make out the Chicago Manual of Style. Maybe you have a more varied library than I do?

If you see anything you recognize, could you please add a note to the photo at Flickr or leave a comment? Thanks.

I think they will probably come to her in flashbacks, over time. She probably knows them better than she realises. Look, if there is a fund or something, even deposits in your paypal account, to help them in some small way with their loss, please let us know.

maybe if she still has the neg she could post to Phil; odds are he could enlarge it enough for it to be useful. all i can tell from this image is that i would have liked to have browsed those shelves….

i really would like to help out with this literary mystery but after scanning this picture for the better part of ten minutes, i have found that i can’t finger any book with any degree of certainty. please let me know if a picture with better resolution ever surfaces.
