I like that rocking out is in quotes.

Now, would we plump for Honey or Summer The First Time?

  4. Phil Bebbington on January 18th, 2010 at 4:23 pm

I was always a Summer The First Time kinda guy!

Oh, can’t we just relax and go with Glen Campbell?

  6. Cindy Scroggins on January 18th, 2010 at 4:43 pm

Okay, I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I won’t do this again.

Isn’t Bobby Goldsboro now the gnome for Travelocity? Working with Shatner? I don’t know. I can’t fathom what’s become of him. Back in the day, I thought he was cute as a bug. On the talk show rounds he’d make a perfect sound of a cricket by pursing his lips and doing something inside his mouth. He did it on all the talk shows. I tried to emulate, but couldn’t figure it out. He was a master of the cute.

For the record, I’m still a sucker for Karen Carpenter. Had she made it through the personal crisis she didn’t survive, where would she be now? Playing drums and singing on the stages of State Fairs?

Rick, you and me both! Perhaps if we get pissed and listen to Carpenters tunes! She had the voice of an angel.

Phil, when you drop by in Feb. We’ll get pissed, pull it up and sing along.

  14. Phil Bebbington on January 18th, 2010 at 5:43 pm

Karaoke with Karen and perhaps even Bobby!

  15. Sheila Ryan on January 18th, 2010 at 5:46 pm

Y’all, just please don’t sing “Bless the Beasts and the Children”.

    Sheila
No, not that. I lean more toward the Leon Russell covers.

Whew. I was starting to feel a little icky.
