Seriously.
Not just Republicans either. Everybody is always campaigning and nobody is ever governing. Campaigning makes everybody look stupid.
I want to see a national day of fear instituted where all Americans can come together to piss themselves and get it over with for the rest of the year.

Yes, well said. Whatever happened to being ashamed of showing fear? What the Republican party wants is not so much to simply generate fear but to stoke the anger that fear generates. Their view is: when you don’t know what to do about anything but want to be in power anyway, get mass anger moving and then try to open gates here and there that let it spill out toward targets.
To rely on the usefulness of fear is to affirm the efficacy of tyranny.
