The Actor

A significant Pablo Picasso painting was damaged after a woman attending art class lost her balance, fell into “The Actor” and tore it, The Metropolitan Museum of Art said.

    The site asked for similar stories sent in by readers. I remember reading one where a guy was being shown an historical and valuable family letter by his girlfriend. All of a sudden he just ripped it up and threw it in the fire, he just couldn’t explain what he did knowing it to be so valuable it was as if he was looking outside himself doing it.

    I actually understand the impulse of the man who tore up the letter. I have never acted on it, but I have been in situation where I felt the need to act on it.
