Giacometti’s Walking Man sold for $104,327,006, breaking the record for a piece of art — let alone sculpture — sold at auction.

When I visited the impossibly fun and awesome Danny and Rick in Kansas City we went to the Nelson Atkins museum of art and the Giacometti there was one of my favourite pieces. The figure is a woman, and it looks as if she is riding a chariot into battle. Something so wonderful about his style, so easily recognizable.
