   Wow, where is this?

   Oddly enough, I got a shark pop quiz from a manager at work today (I work in textbooks). I am proud to say I passed with FLYING MANTA RAY COLORS. Thank you, childhood obsession.

   Did you know that a whale shark’s heart weighs 44 pounds? Surely you could crawl through those veins.

   This is the shark tunnel at the Dallas World Aquarium, where Deron Bauman has taken a series of photographs and which I visited with him a few weeks back.

   Sheila, maybe it’s better if it ain’t told, but is that you on the left in Deron’s photograph? So many of them make me ache in a good way in the middle of my chest. This one, along with its comments, especially so.
