State Highway 19, Alex, OK 73002
I was hot-footing it through Oklahoma in the snow and rain when this stopped me in my tracks.
The prize at the end of the day was meeting Cindy, Amy, Daryl and Deron. A sweet conclusion
to a trying day.

This puts me a little in mind of a small-town speed trap. At least the lurking car does.
And unspeakable crimes have been committed within that structure. I know it.
Love it.
Fuck, Phil. The car’s in the google maps street view, too.
The car hasn’t moved since that big bald baby Eisenhower was in office.
Thanks, guys.
I know, Lucy. I thought that was great. I love street view.
That is just rural Oklahoma perfection!
Excellent, Phil. You know what to look for and you find it and you get it–always.
The car looks like an old blind preacher to me. Back before they had air conditioning.
Twenty-first century mega-church preacher’s got climate control and all kind of options.
Thank you, Mark.
Daryl, all I know is it was a Dodge. The building looked as if it was just a garage, but, I guess it may have doubled up – the Pulpit becoming the Inspection Pit.
As I was leaving some old guy came and asked what I was doing, you know like he owned it. He shrugged and drove off.
That car is the reverend of this here church for automobiles.
Don’t wont no evolution round here by god
What a great photo. Did you slip this in at Flickr when I wasn’t looking?
Cooper, it is indeed over there at the dream factory!
good stuff, Phil. it’s good to see the continued documentation of your trip.
Not too far from where I live!
