I knew this tattoo on my arm would come in handy some day!

Oooh! You should draw a bunch of ash and a big cloud and something to symbolize the temporary collapse of the European economy!

It’s funny. Lucy says there’s no more smoking in Copenhagen bars and restaurants. But now they have ash anyway. Icelandic ash.

It would be beautiful, Amae, if you could walk about swathed in a wreath of fine particulate matter, catching rays of light and altering the atmosphere.

I hope that Lucy makes it to LA as she’s planned and that the two of you meet.

“A volcano eruption in Iceland has delayed FedEx Express shipments to and from Northern Europe.”

Dang. I’m glad I’m just trying to ship documents from Dubuque to Dallas.

    Oh Sheila, I alter atmospheres.

Amae, you think you might one day (or days) fill in the interior? A topographic map?

I might. If I ever live there I would get different symbols to represent things that happened maybe. But it’s already rather noticeable, more than I had intended.

Who knows what the future holds?

I say: Once you’ve gotten people’s attention — well, once a thing is noticeable, make it worth lingering over.
