Pleasing juxtaposition

At my birthday party yesterday I was given a moleskine city notebook for Los Angeles, several items from Anthropologie, including mustard yellow earrings and a soft blue jacket, as well as — a variable speed, orbital jigsaw.  Power tools and pretty things.

I am known, I am loved.

Also my friends blindfolded me and took me to a place where we had our own room with flashing lights and giant screens and sang private kareoke. I sang everything I had ever wanted to sing, it was magical. Also because I had no idea where we were it was as if I was in a place out of time.

Oh, sweetie, I’m so happy for you. Happy Birthday, belatedly. Such a birthday could only be magic.

Amae, sweet plum, isn’t your birthday on the 27th? May we call you from clusterflockstock?

They were covering all the bases. Because you are loved and because of the triple personality thing. That Taurus/Gemini cuspling situation.

Yes, I am available for skyping sometime during the afternoon, I ‘spec’. Kelsey will set it up, when I tell her about it. :)

And yes, not til the 27ths. I will be 24 years of age, to the best of my knowledge.

Dang gurl. If you lived here in KC, you would be celebrating in style! Oh well….we’ll just have to head out to Cali to give you your props.

    What a lovely birthday party!

You are young, Amanda, but an old soul I think.

Being taken by friends to a place out of time is the best birthday present I can imagine, and I am so happy for you, Amae.

Oh how I wish I could’ve been there! I would sing a duet with you, if you’d have me, Miss Amanda. You are known, and you are loved.

As for Skyping, can someone pack a webcam? We don’t have those here.
