This quote-out-of -context is better out of its Glenn Beck context. Or maybe not. Glenn Beck railing against Mother’s Day while accepting the dollars and promoting Hallmark nonetheless — that’s pretty rich.

I’d rant against Mother’s Day and tell sponsors to go fuck themselves.

Mother’s Day is a load of wank.

I say this with a nod to Phil. When Phil was in Texas, Deron, on the February afternoon that you and he and I met at that cafe in the Bishop Arts, he walked by Epiphany, a shop whose display window was tuned into a Valentine’s Day theme, and he said,

“I’ve just had an epiphany that Valentine’s Day is a load of wank.”
