Did you hear about Arizona’s other ruling? English Language Learner (ELL) teachers will be fired for having an accent.

So my English accent would really not do?!

In reality I have an awful Bristolian accent which makes me sick to the stomach even when I listen to myself. I really don’t speak Queens English!

One way or another, Phil, the US poses risks for you, alluring though it may seem!

I am so curious to hear what you sound like, now. And no, sorry, there is no job for you in Arizona.

I was looking at those crayons in terms of what tan I might like – of course coupled with my accent that might present all manner of problems.

Trust me, Phil. Your accent won’t raise a red flag with your Arizona law enforcement officer. It’s that hint of Romany about your looks that might raise suspicions.
