Danny MacAskill, street bike rider from Edinburgh, does some shit on a bike that will break your eyes

India posted this last year, but I stumbled on it again last night. Start about a minute in and wipe the shit-eating grin off your face. I plan to watch this all day.

Remember back when every video like this was accompanied by crappy punk music? Things have obviously come a long way if someone like Band of Horses is the background for a jaw dropping video like this.

I think it was the perfect pick, but maybe in 5 years I’ll be talking about how we used to watch videos with crappy backgrounds like BoH. I hope that day never comes.

yeah, this shit’s unreal. remember when this was making the rounds, still think it’s something special what he does with a bike.

Reminds me a little bit of this video; that same sense that he’s doing something incredibly *incredibly* difficult, but effortlessly.

Sprezzatura the Italians call it, right, Derek?

Jesus, that’s just fun to watch. It’s amazing that a person could avoid becoming a physical wreck for long enough to learn such things. I love seeing people run over to see if he’s dead down there–and he’s just riding on to the next new thing!

Also, that tune reminds me of Keyboard Kitty.

Daryl, you made my day with that Keyboard Cat reference.

It’s kind of a cross between the Keyboard Cat Theme and “Baby, I Love Your Way”.

His father runs the Giant MacAskill museum in Skye (I’m not sure if they’re related though they have the same name) a contemporary of Tom Thumb.
