I sing the song of myself
The WSJ noted one North Dakota resident who voted against a ballot measure to raise taxes to pay for paved roads, right around the time she wrote to the governor, urging him not to allow a major road in her area to be converted into gravel.

If I really need to drive somewhere that that road goes to, I’ll get the kind of job that pays enough so that I can afford a vehicle that will go down that road. The welfare state can suck my snow machine’s balls.
That’s kind of the attitude Deron took at the Dallas dump when the guy confronted him with “How did you get here?” and he answered, “This is where the road took me.”
