For Cindy

Yesterday Luke Wilson told me that there’s no particular reason that he hasn’t been in Wes Anderson’s recent movies.  Also he said that he doesn’t use computers very much, he likes to play golf and visit record stores in New York and he’s writing a script with Tracy Morgan.  He’s been reading a lot of biographies lately.  He looked good.

Amanda! Did you tell him that he needs to come and visit me? Did you tell him that we would let him blog on clusterflock–no, really, we would. He’s in, just like that. I could get him set up.

Wow. You sat next to Owen Wilson yesterday. Wow.

What could you have possibly talked about that didn’t sling the conversation back around to me?

Oops, I meant Luke. Not Owen. I was thinking Luke but I said Owen. But I meant Luke.

Oh, dear. This fucks my chances, doesn’t it? My face is starting to itch.

I can’t believe you said Owen.

God DAMN, I know it. I can’t believe I did that. I’m fucked for sure now. Stupid fingers.

So, are you going to talk to Owen? Because that might work in my favor.

Can we get Owen for a clusterflock interview? Amanda, how do we do that? Tell him we’re from TEXAS.

  7. Cindy Scroggins on August 2nd, 2010 at 12:46 pm

No, wait, I take it all back. See, I really meant to say Owen because I don’t want Luke to think it’s all just cherry pie and Easy Street. It’s like water sports–hard.

I’m sure you meant Owen, Cindy.

  9. Cindy Scroggins on August 2nd, 2010 at 12:50 pm

I DIDN’T REALLY MEAN OWEN. I meant Luke. I meant Luke. Oh, why is this happening to me?

  10. Amy Mabli on August 2nd, 2010 at 12:52 pm

It’s 106 degrees and an orange level ozone day – I can see how you would have made the mistake.

Thank you, Amy. That’s probably it. I’m delirious.

I’m pretty sure those boys like crazy women, anyway.

I have no plans to interview Owen at this point, but it will happen. Luke is Texas, through and through. He said something about riding a horse over to a neighbour’s house to talk to them rather than pick up the phone. It were funny. He was very slow to speak and careful with what he did say. I liked that. Controlled, calm.

We didn’t talk about you Cindy because we didn’t have much time and I wanted to know what kind of books he liked.

Thank you, Amanda Mae. Please talk about me next time. Because it is important.

    Thank you.

I will let you know in advance next time. I just wasn’t sure it was all going down. I also had a smoke on the balcony with Gio Ribisi and we talked physics.
