The other day I was shopping for back-to-school clothes with Mia, and a little girl of about three threw herself onto the floor and screamed, “I want to kill myself.”
Have you seen the tv ads where the guy gives one little kid a real pony (trots it out in the room there) and the other little kid gets a little piece of shit toy pony (and variations of that situation)? If I could drive a truck through the wall at that studio and smash that asshole I would do it.
I was quite concerned about the 3-year-old. I couldn’t tell, of course, whether she had real emotional problems or was simply repeating something she’d heard. Either way, it was troubling.
