   I liked “Don’t use fucking Helvetica.” especially since it was written in….Helvetica.
   Also: “Learn to fucking write.”

   I have broken the habit but it took a while. But I would like to tell some of the design assholes that lots of shit they do irritates me. For instance, I hate to see that a book or magazine designer has put the page number in the side margin with a fucking line under it that bleeds off the page, or that has a box around it. Just because you can do that shit doesn’t mean you should dump the whole program in.

   I two-space it because that is what I learned in high school typing class, circa 1986. These graphic design people with their Comic Sans hate and weird grammar rules can suck my nuts.

    have you heard the one about people who only put one space after a period? they also drive too close to the car in front of them. that convinced me for years that I should be double spacing. that and muscle memory. but, I’m pretty well convinced at this point that one space looks pretty. I just need to teach it to my fingers.
