I like it that he has conceded to twenty-first century summer convention only by wearing a T-shirt. Otherwise, another decade, another century.

Can I adopt him?
I believe so, Michael. I think that the city of Bath sponsors a special program whereby Americans can adopt pensioners with a minimum of red tape.
When is Phil eligible for adoption?
When he commences wearing long trousers year-round.
Michael, I’m always available for adoption. Would that get me a green card?
Once all the paperwork is completed, I’m sure.
Then I’m all yours!
