Just watched the first half of “The Social Network.” We’ll finish it in the morning. The woman manning the check-out at Blockbuster wasn’t much enamoured of it. “Seems a bunch of assholes made a web site and were assholes to each other. Technically, as a film it was okay.” A glowing recommendation from one in the field. I’ll reserve comment ’til I’ve seen it all the way through.
I’d have to agree with the young woman I quoted above. I don’t quite understand why the film is at the top of many critics (that I’ve heard) top-ten-of-the-year lists.

It was watchable, but not compelling.
