Your Verite goes will be sorely missed. Thanks for those many hours of well-watered scotches.

Ricky was a great friend and mentor, influencing generations of students. He was so generous with all his talents and asked so little for himself.

His book will be coming out shortly and includes 90 of his films.
As Valerie Lalonde said this morning, when I asked what can I do, she said, tell everyone “Buy the book.” It was the last project Ricky and Valerie worked on and it meant so much to him.

Ricky will be missed by many of us. He was not only a true pioneer of Cinema Verite, a great teacher and mentor to so many of us, but also a friend and a great guy.

I will definitely be buying his book.
