Thus, ordinary people find it much more natural to say that “The Acme Corporation is upset about the court’s recent ruling” than to say that “The Acme Corporation is feeling upset.”

Thus, people find “The Acme Corporation intends to release a new product this January” and “The Acme Corporation wants to change its corporate image” natural, but “The Acme Corporation is now experiencing great joy” weird.

Thoughts on the philosophy of subjective experience.

Makes me think of the stuff learned last semester, like “I am feeling frustrated” or “I feel like you don’t listen” aren’t statements of emotion. More importantly, there’s no active responsibility-taking of internal experience in formations like that. So I guess The Acme Corporation is limited to passive, projective declarations.

I prefer to go straight to declarative accusatory statements.

“You make me feel frustrated.” or “You make everyone hate you by wearing those shoes. Which then makes me feel sad to be seen with you.”

I pretty much stick to Fuck You or Fuck Me. That about covers everything.
