Animated Fowl and (or in) Trousers
“You’ll notice you never saw an animated duck wearing pants.”
Nope. Never. Same for animated parrots.
But take a look at the animated rooster, Panchito Pistoles, in this clip from Disney’s The Three Caballeros (1944).
“Get that cock into a pair of britches, fer crissake!”

This morning the carpenter stopped by unannounced in order to finish up a small job he’d begun last week. He knocked, but he does have a key, so I had to scramble. I was Porky Piggin’ it.
1. Draw pants on Donald Duck
2. Look at the pants
3. Understand why they left the pants off
The same exercise works with Porky.
But Porky’s lower half is at least mostly human-shaped. You could put pants on him, and it wouldn’t look weird at all
Now we’re three gay caballeros.
I guarantee there’s Three Caballeros Rule 34 out there somewhere.
Is the parrot not wearing pants? Wait, that’s confusing. The parrot is also wearing pants, isn’t he?
He’s wearing pants covered in feathers.
The parrot is confusing. At first I thought he might be wearing pants. Then I looked down to where the hem or cuffs of his pants would be, and that looked kind of feathery, so I decided, “No pants on the parrot.” But toward the end, there is a view of the parrot dancing, and it looks as though there is an opening for the plumes of his tail, which suggests pants.
Feathered pants.
I swear Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz) sometimes wore feathered pants.
I was thinking of feathery sleeves, I reckon. Not trousers. Actually, Desi’s sleeves kind of remind me of a piñata.
