It’s a mantisfly, family Mantispidae. It’s a member of the order Neuroptera . . . and not a praying mantis.

Hmm. Both praying and mantis like, I’m guessing a duck.
I just looked it up, and the praying mantis does indeed have wings.
It was the wings that threw me.
