My Egret
Some of y’all know that I recently purchased a taxidermied egret to use in an art project. Flannery took some excellent photos yesterday that will give you an idea of the outcome.

That egret is happy. Well, that taxidermied egret is.
Great photos, great bird.
Egrets, I’ve had a few.
Thank you.
I live life without egrets.
Je n’egret rien.
This way to the egret.
Cindy’s notion of putting the white bird in the fireplace behind an iron garden gate covered in blue lights is one of many art projects she has in mind. Joseph Cornell would swoon over the beauty of this one. You can’t see it but the bird is standing in a collection of oddly shaped rocks I have gathered over the years. Flannery also took some fine pictures of Cindy’s pigeon that’s dressed in an evening gown (made for her by an artist who knows what to do with dead birds).
The egret is beautiful. It’s like a bird guardian of hearth and home, both for people and chimney swifts.
Thank you, Sheila. I know you would love it. It’s not really possible for a photo to fully capture the sadness of blue light reflecting on a white bird. You kinda have to be there.
JOEL STOLE MY STUPID JOKE.
I bet Amanda egrets not being faster at lame comment joke posting.
Egrets, I’ve had a bunch.
