    Not necessarily.

I know, right? I wanted to give somebody a chance to say that before I punched a hole in the new agey horseshittiness.

The thing that got me wanting to say that, just like that, was actually Louis CK’s thing. The future is just plain better. And I’m glad I get to live there. And I’m pissed about the parts I’ll miss.

And so I think necessarily, yes. Progress, man.

For me, I’m always looking out for Future Sarah, like when I make something for myself that has two servings I always save the better half for later. Future Sarah usually appreciates that.

Yesterday I noticed these four headlines all in the same news-ticker batch:

Almost half in U.S. are poor or low-income

Six Waltons have more wealth than bottom 30% of Americans

Democrats back away from millionaire tax in ongoing dispute

Massive defense bill nears final passage in congress

    …So, Ho Ho Ho

Years ago, Danny coined a word for New Age music. He called it “newage.”

  8. Joel Bernstein on December 17th, 2011 at 12:35 am

    Rhymes with ‘sewage’?

  9. Rick Neece on December 17th, 2011 at 6:09 am

    Yup.

I am actually with Jonathan on this one. At least, if we take the long view.

  11. Jonathan McNicol on December 17th, 2011 at 11:13 pm

It’s always about the long view. No one remembers the other thing.

  12. Dave Vogt on December 19th, 2011 at 10:41 am

Not to put too fine a point on it, but there’s the in-between to consider.

Only for the sad sacks who’re stuck there, Dave.
