Dear Santa


Thank you for the sweet hot air balloon ornament. Colors are perfect! And for the Chicago Christkindlmarket drinking boot, I’ll try it out a little later. This was the best Christmas ever!

    I’m going to take the boot to the gathering we’re going to in five minutes. White-elephant gifts (I’m not regifting, I’ll be drinking from it), dinner, then a game of “Celebrities.” Christmas in Overland Park. It don’t get much better.

    We have a ton of prime rib left-over from last night. It roasted 18 hours at 125 degrees. Danny read Cooks Illustrated. This morning, for breakfast, I had left-over prime rib, warmed a little in the microwave (not too much, 45 seconds or so, I didn’t want to kill the juicyness) on Danny’s ho-made rolls with horseradish sauce while I did dishes in the kitchen. Delish!

    Anybody need a sammich? We can Fedex.

    Deron, I feel like I just spent a little time with you. I took Andrew to the airport this morning at 6:00-ish to meet his Mom and Sister in Chicago. We picked up coffee across the street at the Quick-Trip for the journey out.
