   I was just now telling a friend that it has long astonished me that more sodbusting settlers of the Great Plains did not go stark mad and hack up their families with axes. I know if I’d been a bride whose husband dragged her from Massachusetts to Kansas, I’d have pizened the son of a bitch soon as I could seize the chance.

   Sounds good. My tent and ground cloth are in storage, but the inside of the Element can be configured to sleep up to three people. There are two auxiliary power sources in it, and I have a couple of power inverters. I’ll pack jerky and Power Bars and some water; if you can bring ice in a couple of coolers and some additional water (plus whatever else you like), we should be okay for the two blocks.
