Thousands of litres of whisky flushed down drain in Dumbarton
A statement said: “We are currently investigating an accidental loss on the 26th of February at our Dumbarton site, where some spirit was released to the local water treatment plant.
“There has been no release of spirit to the River Leven or any other local water course. We have informed Scottish Water and all other relevant authorities.”

“A statement said.”
“No release of spirit.”
The fish will now have school spirits.
In 1982, ten thousand liters of El Toro spilled into the Presa Barranca de Oblates spillway and everyone thought the tequila’s flavor was improved.
School of fish spirits!
Smells like fish spirit.
Also, a liter would be like half a big bottle of Mountain Dew or something, right?
MY HOMETOWN IS MENTIONED IN CLUSTERFLOCK. OMG etc etc
Sorry, just caught my eye there…
My hometown was mentioned on Clusterflock, once or twice, it’s nice and all, but then the reporters show up and the cameras and the next thing you know the local elementary school is hosting the entire press corps…I’m not sure it’s really worth it.
What’s weird is that just a few weeks ago Maker’s Mark made news for watering down their whiskey, and here the water was being whiskey’d down.
The world is now is balance.
I like that. Whiskey down the water.
