Not very outrageous, I know, but I like Bowie’s Modern Love/China Girl look. As in, “I’ve had some pretty crazy shit on my back, but damn, I rock a suit and tie.”
I have this imaginary Bowie that’s not Bowie but something and someone else. I imagine the 1970s Elvis Presley singing “TVC-15″. Would that have been great or what?
If you check out the “OUT” spread, (I don’t think I linked properly) lots of folks chime in on who their Bowie was. (Even Nico Muhli gets a paragraph.) It amazes me, the longevity of his career and the different takes from a couple-three generations. Surely he rivals Michael Jackson?
And MGS, I also loved China Girl.
The photo above? I just saw it in the magazine and it made me smile. I hope I wasn’t too much searching for attention. ;o)
Ground Control to Major Tom was one.

His music from that time is what I still prefer today, somewhat more than the oldest stuff. “Reality” from 2003 was kind of a comeback, too.

Thank you for your time.
Rick, we all know you were just showing out.
