We all know about male pattern baldness, but

who can explain this one for me? The hair on my head is a mix of brown and white, brown predominating. My beard is predominately white, with some black still apparent. My chest hair is mostly white, except for an almost entirely black swatch on the far right. My arms, legs and torso from the sternum down have hardly any white hair, except for the lower half of my right forearm which looks almost like a beautician did highlights on it.

The coloration is to attract females; they love variations in the coats of males. Check out the recent posts on the web about the coloration of monkey butts.

was thinking about this last week [things to ask marduk upon my death.] though i was/am more bewildered by the extravagantly raven ear and (exterior) nose hairs.

Just think how much money we’d all be worth if we’d kept our copies of that lone 7″ single by The Coloration of Monkey Butts (1977). Not to mention the rapidly deleted LP by Raven Ear.

That’s great, Wayne: to think of our body hair as our “coats”. And “raven ear”,’ Doc. What a great phrase.

    Hang in there, Rick!
