offer 2 Chairs – Okay Condition (East Dubuque)

I have two chairs in okay condition. One was a chair from a bank. It has an upholstered back and wood frame. Good condition. Good upholstery. The other is a wood chair that has been resupported with metal at the legs. Okay condition.

I live in East Dubuque near the Julien Dubuque bridge. Covered porch for easy pick up.

offer 1 Chevy Astro Van Back Seat (East Dubuque)

I have one back seat for a Chevy Astro van. It is grey with one arm rest (it never had two). Seatbelts are still there tucked into upholstery. Very good condition.

I live near the Julien Dubuque Bridge in East Dubuque and have a covered porch for convenient pick-up.

OFFER: Office Chair with Wheels East Dubuque – Okay Condition

I have an office chair in okay condition. It is an older model on heavy casters. The leather/faux leather padding on the arms is where most wear has occurred and was patched with dark black PVC tape (electrical tape). Kind of a standard repair on old office chairs. If you ever watch older TV shows, chances are you have seen a chair like this one. I live in East Dubuque near the Julien Dubuque bridge for easy pick-up.

It took three times longer than I wanted it to, but the table is finally put together. I put the last coat of oil on it tonight, and once that dries, I’ll put the wax on and let the stink dissipate. I intended to stabilize the end pieces with some brass bolts, but the table glued together very solidly, and I’m not sure those will be necessary, so once I have a chance to live with it, I can see what I think.

The original legs weren’t sturdy enough, so I had to recalibrate halfway through. It’s essentially the same design but the legs are double-thickness now, with a layer of 1/4″ MDF between. The top is particleboard glued to 3/4″ plywood, with red oak supports underneath. The legs are red oak and MDF, rounded at the corners. I used walnut stain, and teak oil, and will finish with carnauba wax.

Three years ago, Kenneth Barry was just an IT guy at a cabinet shop. But when his boss asked him to help the company go paperless, he went further, assembling a machine to automate what most woodworkers were doing by hand. His first CNC router was a crude hack, its design cribbed from somebody’s website, its frame cobbled together from a pile of plastic bathroom partitions. But it allowed the twentysomething dad to make his own custom furniture with just a few keystrokes. Soon he hit on a way to combine his 3-D modeling skills with one of his hobbies, the online strategy game Spring. His CNC, he realized, could take one of the game’s “heightmaps,” which hold the geospatial data for each level, and render it as a relief map in wood. His first attempt was uneven and choppy, so for his second he went all out and built a new router, knocking down a wall in his garage to accommodate the 10- by 8-foot beast. The mission was a success, landing him a one-of-a-kind coffee table with an eerie lunar surface.
